‘One Ocean’ Symposium
AELA is co-hosting an important 1 day event in New York, together with Griffith Law School, on Saturday 24th August 2019. The symposium will explore key issues for the United Nations’ proposed treaty on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction (BBNJ). The afternoon session is dedicated to exploring how the Rights of Nature approach might be used for greater protection of BBNJ. View the ‘One Ocean’ Symposium page for more information.
